Our Story

In 2011, the birth of the Beauty Sangha Club was not merely a social gesture; it was a survival strategy conceived by a group of six visionary local youth. Witnessing the literal and metaphorical “flooding” of their home village, these founders recognized that the traditional life they knew was disappearing beneath the water. The club was originally established as an informal “Community Safety Net” to help the Moyna block manage this severe geographical and economic transition.

Our Core Philosophy

For 13 years, we operated as a non-registered grassroots movement ‘by the people, for the people’. This deliberate approach allowed us to build organic trust and prove our impact before scaling into formal institutional frameworks. We are driven by the belief that every village in Moyna harbors undiscovered artists, organizers, thinkers, and leaders, and our role is to identify and nurture these hidden talents.

Strategic Evolution Timeline

2011-2013

 Birth of the club with 6 founding members and the launch of our foundational initiative, Project Shakti (Kali Puja & Cultural Youth Leadership).

2014-2019

 Expanded programs into multi-day regional events across several neighboring villages.

 Introduced the Sindoor Khela tradition and the Immersion Jatra to the Keleghai River to ensure the “Moyna identity” remained intact despite the changing physical landscape.

                                                                                                 2020-2021

 Paused celebratory events to pivot entirely to pandemic relief, demonstrating our true role as a localized support system.
 Distributed 3,450 dry rations and 2,455 hygiene kits across 10 villages, acting as a critical health information bridge.

                                                                                                  2022-2024

 Achieved record participation in cultural events and launched Project Khel Shakti, a sports-based confidence-building initiative to address the pandemic-induced “Information Isolation” among youth.
 The core leadership team grew to 30 active members.

                                                                                                       2025

 Officially registered as Brajaballavpur Beauty Sangha under the West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961 (Reg. No. S0050599).
 Secured 12A, 80G, and CSR1 status, positioning the organization to partner with international grants and corporate donors.
 Launched our official digital portal (www.beautysangha.in) to bridge the digital divide and connect rural talent to global opportunities.

Our ultimate goal is to transform Brajaballavpur Beauty Sangha from a localized support system into a self-sustaining, regionally influential institution. We are transitioning from grassroots village volunteers into professional NGO leaders with verified expertise in health administration, digital archiving, and creative arts. Moving forward, we aim to dictate the standard for rural resilience, women’s economic agency, and youth professionalization throughout the Moyna block.
